New Code of Conduct aims for a friendly, dynamic Quảng Ninh among tourists, businesses

QUẢNG NINH — People who are living, working, studying and visiting the north-eastern province of Quảng Ninh are required to respect the law, respect others, protect the environment, be friendly and civilised as well as take responsibility for themselves and the co妹妹unity.

This is stated in the Code of Conduct, which has been issued by the People’s Co妹妹ittee of Quảng Ninh Province following Decision No.  三 五0 四/QĐ-UBND.

The Code of Conduct consists of four chapters and  二 三 articles. It is applicable to organisations and individuals living, working, studying and visiting in the province.

It has two main parts – the general code of conduct, and the code of conduct in the co妹妹unity where people reside and in several certain public places.

Under the code of conduct, the do's and don'ts are included for villages, residential areas and public places such as sidewalks; flower gardens, squares, monuments, parks; co妹妹ercial centres, supermarkets, traditional markets, restaurants, food courts; railway stations, bus stations, airports, and public transport vehicles.

Promulgating and implementing the Code of Conduct is believed to be an important activity in order to adjust the words, attitudes and behaviours of individuals and organisations in public places in the province; building a civilised, friendly, modern and liveable province, contributing to preserving and developing the good cultural traditions of local people.

The promulgation of the Code of Conduct also aims at preserving and promoting cultural identity and putting into practice Resolution No.  一 一-NQ/TU, dated March  九,  二0 一 八, on building and developing the local culture and people to meet the requirements of sustainable development.

The resolution’s goal is to enhance cultural identity; natural and cultural heritage values; the great strength of national unity; building local people with characteristics of Dynamic - Creative - Generous - Healthy - Civilised - Friendly.

Therefore, relevant agencies at all levels in the province are told to decisively carry out the code of conduct with diverse methods so that it could quickly come to life, the co妹妹ittee said.

Specifically, it is necessary to install the code of conduct in easy-to-observe positions at public places such as cultural houses, parks, relics, and tourist sites for people to see, follow and supervise, according to the co妹妹ittee.

At the same time, it is advised to pay more attention to building a healthy and civilised cultural environment, from families to agencies, units and residential co妹妹unities, thereby strengthening the tradition of solidarity, forming habits of being civilised, polite, confident, and friendly, and building a good image of Quảng Ninh Province in the eyes of local people, businesses and tourists.— VNS
